Learn how to sync text and audio, edit caption timing, choose export formats and work with connected agents.

Use cases

Sync lyrics to audio

Match exact lyrics to a song word by word, choose how they appear on screen, and export timed lyrics or subtitles.

Use the lyrics you actually want to publish

Paste the final lyrics instead of relying on transcription to guess sung words. Exact-text Sync keeps your spelling and wording and uses the recording to determine when each aligned word occurs.

Keep repeated sections in performed order

If a chorus, hook or other section appears more than once in the recording, include each occurrence in the source lyrics in the order it is performed. The source text should describe the sequence Synclyr is aligning to the audio.

Include the sung words that matter to the timing

Ad-libs, repeated words and other vocal lines should be present in the source when you want them represented in the timed result. If the source and recording differ substantially, update the source and Resync.

Word-level timing powers the lyric views

After Sync, the same underlying word timestamps can drive Line view, Word view and active-word highlighting. Switching between those presentation options does not realign the song.

Preserve intentional lyric lines or regroup them

Line view can follow the original line breaks in your lyrics, which is useful for verse and chorus formatting, or you can use automatic line breaking without changing the underlying word timing.

Highlight the active word

Turn on Highlight active word when you want the current sung word to light up while the surrounding lyric text stays visible. Global highlight offsets and per-word timing edits can fine-tune the effect.

Choose the export based on what happens next

Use LRC for standard line-timed lyrics, ASS for precise active-word highlighting, VTT for web timed text with word start markers when highlighting is enabled, or SRT for ordinary subtitle timing.

Fix presentation without syncing the song again

Caption text corrections, splits, merges, line grouping, timing offsets and supported word-highlight timing edits can all be adjusted after Sync without spending processing minutes on another alignment.
