Synclyr Documentation

Find quick answers, editing tips and help choosing the right export format.

Getting started

Quick start

Create a project, sync your text to the audio, make any edits you need, and export.

1. Create a project

From Home, choose New Project and open it in the Editor.

2. Add your audio

Upload an MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file up to 60 minutes and 750 MB. Upload and audio preparation begin as soon as you choose the file.

3. Add the words

Paste a transcript, script or lyrics, upload a text file, or choose Get text from my audio.

4. Sync

Choose Sync. If you selected Get text from my audio, Synclyr transcribes the audio and creates the timing in the same step.

5. Edit if you need to

Open Edit captions to correct text, split or merge captions, or adjust timing. These edits do not require another sync.

6. Choose how it looks and export

Choose Line or Word, turn word highlighting on if you want it, then export the format you need.
